Recently the humble institution we serve (also known as the torture chamber we schlep our fatigued selves to or varsity) decided to give us a week off to recouperate(sort of). I spent this vacay doing what I do best-organising my life. Inbetween all that work I slipped in two trips to one of my favourite spots-the mall-to check out the latest in stores and I spent a day enjoying a few flicks. My greatest achievement though, was fitting in a roadtrip with my family. We spent two hours on the open road and while the music was blasting on the radio and the wind was whipping through our hair I took a few snaps of the journey, the view and the snacks that pulled us through to end.
Fun was had by all and it was with great reluctance that I returned to the daily routine! Schlep, schlep, schlep goes the daily routine! But ah well! Without routine, how would we appreciate the spontaneous moments?
